This is an example of a full-canvas garment. The beige canvas material runs from the shoulder seam underneath the chest padding (which is black here) to the hem of the garment. This is a bespoke fitting turned inside out. A made-to-measure full canvas looks very similar but has been done by a very sophisticated machine rather than by hand.
Are your garments made with a full canvas?
Yes. We believe it produces a better garment—one that feels better on and lasts longer. But we do offer half-canvas on request which costs a bit less.
How do payments work?
We take 50% deposit when the order is placed and the remaining once we’ve delivered the garment. We take all major credit cards (including AMEX - at no extra charge).
How long does the process take?
4 - 5 weeks for made to measure. 10 - 12 weeks for bespoke depending on your availability for fittings.
What factors affect the price?
Price is determined by your cloth selection and some design options. If you want a more specific quote than the starting prices listed above please contact us here.
Do you offer an Express service?
Yes. Made-to-measure can be delivered in 3 weeks with an express fee starting at £250 for a suit. Express is available for the bespoke service but needs to be discussed with us as there are more variables. Please contact us to explain your needs here.
Where do you make your garments?
We pride ourselves in being completely transparent so that you can make the right decision for you.
We have two made-to-measure makers - one in China and one in Italy. The choice is yours - both make outstanding quality garments though slightly different in feel and finish.
Our bespoke is handmade in Italy by a family of tailors that have been making garments in their tradition since 1966.
How many fittings will I need for bespoke?
We recommend 2 to 3 fittings, particularly on your first suit with us. The fittings usually only take 15-30 minutes but allow us to make you the garment just as you like it. For future orders the number of fittings can be reduced.
What fabrics and linings do you offer?
We work with all of the major cloth merchants and mills in Italy and the United Kingdom and have 1000s to chose from. We work primarily with: Loro Piana, Fox Bros, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Huddersfield Fine Worsteds, Dugdales, Harrisons of Edinburgh, Drapers, Lovat Mills, and Standeven.
Our shirting fabrics come primarily from Thomas Mason/Albini in Northern Italy but also from Mileta in The Czech Republic.
